    Accessibility

At GlowPlatter, we want our website and recipe content to be useful and accessible to as many people as possible. We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of GlowPlatter so that visitors, including people with disabilities, can find, read, and use our content as comfortably as possible.

    Our Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to make GlowPlatter easier to navigate, understand, and use across common devices and browsers. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we continue to review our website and content as the site develops.

Our accessibility approach is informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG provides internationally recognized guidance for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. The current WCAG 2.2 guidance includes accessibility requirements organized around the principles of perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content.

    Accessibility Standard

GlowPlatter uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a reference point for its accessibility efforts. We do not claim that every part of the website currently conforms fully to every WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criterion. Accessibility can be affected by the website theme, third-party services, embedded content, media, and other technical components, and some areas may require further improvement.

For more information about WCAG 2.2 and its requirements, you can review the official W3C WCAG 2.2 Recommendation.

Accessibility Measures We Aim to Support

As part of our ongoing accessibility efforts, we aim to support practices such as:

    • Using clear and meaningful headings to organize page content.
    • Writing recipe instructions and other information in straightforward language.
    • Using descriptive link text where practical so visitors can understand the purpose of a link.
    • Providing meaningful alternative text for images when appropriate.
    • Keeping important information available as readable text rather than relying only on visual presentation.
    • Maintaining clear navigation and logical page structure where possible.
    • Considering keyboard usability and readable content when creating or updating pages.
    • Improving the experience for visitors using different screen sizes, devices, browsers, and assistive technologies.

    Recipes, Images, and Other Media

Food websites naturally contain photographs, graphics, and other visual material. We aim to provide useful text alternatives and descriptions for important images where appropriate. Decorative images may not always require the same treatment as informative images.

Because GlowPlatter may use content and services provided through third-party technologies, accessibility may vary in some parts of the website. We will make reasonable efforts to identify and address accessibility barriers that are brought to our attention.

    Known Limitations

We are continuing to improve GlowPlatter and cannot guarantee that every page, feature, image, embedded element, or third-party component is fully accessible at all times. Some older content may need additional accessibility improvements, and third-party features may be outside our direct control.

If you experience an accessibility barrier, please contact us. Your feedback can help us identify problems that may not be obvious during our regular content and website updates.

    Feedback and Accessibility Support

We welcome feedback about the accessibility and usability of GlowPlatter. If you have difficulty accessing a page, reading content, navigating the website, using a particular feature, or interacting with any part of the site, please let us know.

    You can contact us at:

    • Email: Digitaleguide11@gmail.com

When contacting us, it is helpful to include the page URL, a brief description of the accessibility problem, and the device or browser you were using if you are comfortable providing that information. This can help us investigate the issue more efficiently.

    How We Handle Accessibility Feedback

We review accessibility feedback and use it to identify areas where GlowPlatter can be improved. Depending on the nature of the issue, we may update the content, improve the page structure, correct a link or image description, investigate a technical issue, or look for an accessible alternative.

Accessibility statements are intended to give visitors useful information about accessibility and provide a way to report barriers. The W3C guidance on developing accessibility statements recommends including an accessibility commitment, the accessibility standard being used, and contact information for reporting problems.

    Third-Party Content and Services

Some features, tools, advertising services, embedded content, videos, social platforms, or other third-party resources may appear on GlowPlatter in the future or may be provided by services outside our control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or services. Where practical, we will try to use services that provide accessible experiences and will consider reported accessibility problems when evaluating those services.

    Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time task. As GlowPlatter grows, we intend to continue reviewing our content, page structure, images, navigation, and website features and make improvements where practical.

We encourage visitors to tell us when something does not work well for them. Feedback from real users is valuable because accessibility needs can vary significantly between people and technologies.
